Magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of the spin - 12 Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice and experimental data on

چکیده
We compute the magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of the spin1 2 Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice with high-temperature expansions and exact diagonalizations. We compare the results with the experimental data on ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2 obtained by Helton et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 98, 107204 (2007)]. Down to kBT/J ' 0.2, our calculations reproduce accurately the experimental susceptibility, with an exchange interaction J ' 190 K and a contribution of 3.7% of weakly interacting impurity spins. The comparison between our calculations of the specific heat and the experiments indicate that the lowtemperature entropy (below ∼20 K) is smaller in ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2 than in the kagome Heisenberg model, a likely signature of other interactions in the system. Magnetic Properties and Phase Transitions in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Simple Cubic Lattice
Within the effective-field theory with correlations (EFT), a transverse random field spin-1 Ising model on the simple cubic (z=6) lattice is studied. The phase diagrams, the behavior of critical points, transverse magnetization, internal energy, magnetic specific heat are obtained numerically and discussed for different values of p the concentration of the random transverse field.

In this paper we investigate the effect of a random transverse field, distributed according to a trimodal distribution, on the phase diagram and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional lattice (square with z=4), ferromagnetic Ising system consisting of magnetic atoms with spin-1. This study is done using the effectivefield theory (EFT) with correlations method. The equations are derived using...
متن کاملSpecific heat of the S = 12 Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice : High - temperature series expansion analysis
We compute specific heat of the antiferromagnetic spin2 Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice. We use a recently introduced technique to analyze high-temperature series expansion based on the knowledge of high-temperature series expansions, the total entropy of the system and the low-temperature expected behavior of the specific heat, as well as the ground-state energy. In the case of the kago...
متن کاملAlgebraic vortex liquid theory of a quantum antiferromagnet on the kagome lattice
There is growing evidence from both experiment and numerical studies that low half-odd integer quantum spins on a kagome lattice with predominant antiferromagnetic near-neighbor interactions do not order magnetically or break lattice symmetries even at temperatures much lower than the exchange interaction strength. Moreover, there appears to be a plethora of low-energy excitations, predominantl...

The susceptibility and specific heat experimental results of the diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) are incorporated in a model based on short-range as well as long-range interaction in a random may of magnetic ions. The so-called nearestneighbor pair approximation (NNPA) is applied. It appears that the calculated values of zero field specific heat and Curie-Weiss temperature based on th...
